Chiume's career spanned decades, beginning in the early days of Black television in South Africa. She captivated audiences with her powerful performances, becoming one of the most prominent Black actresses in the country.
Her international breakthrough came with her role as the fierce tribal leader Zawavari in the Marvel Studios blockbuster film "Black Panther." This role brought her global recognition and cemented her status as a respected and talented performer.
