Cardinals Sonny Gray Snags 11th Win

Cardinals Bounce Back as Sonny Gray Rights Ship

Sonny Gray's Strong Performance Leads Cardinals to Victory

ST. LOUIS -- The first time that Cardinals ace Sonny Gray felt the magnitude and weight of a potential no-hitter, he was just 11 years old. It was a Little League game, and Gray's team was facing their rivals, the Dodgers.

Gray remembers that he was nervous, but also excited. He had been pitching well all season, and he knew that he had a chance to make history. And he did just that, throwing a no-hitter and leading his team to victory.

Fast forward to Tuesday night, and Gray was once again facing a tough opponent, the Tampa Bay Rays. And once again, he delivered a dominant performance, allowing just one hit over seven innings and leading the Cardinals to a 4-3 victory.

Gray's outing was a much-needed one for the Cardinals, who had lost four of their previous five games. The Cardinals are now 11-6 on the season, and they are in first place in the NL Central.
