Rivian and Amazon Adjust EV Exclusivity Agreement
Rivian Extends Fleet Options to Other Companies
Rivian Automotive, the electric vehicle manufacturer, announced Tuesday that it will no longer exclusively supply its commercial electric vans to Amazon. The company stated that it is currently in discussions with Amazon to modify the exclusivity clause in their agreement.
Expansion of Fleet Market
This move expands Rivian's market opportunities by allowing other companies to purchase its fleet of electric vans. The automaker has already received significant orders from companies such as American Telephone & Telegraph (ATT), which is piloting Rivian's commercial van EVs and R1 vehicles to electrify its fleet.
