Born in Detroit, Michigan on July 1st, 1975, Sufjan Stevens is an American singer-songwriter who is known for his songs about different places and things. He's also recognized for his interesting songwriting style that uses various instruments to create a unique sound. His new album, Javelin, features a mix of intimate folk music and big, impressive orchestral sounds after eight years without releasing an album, which was called "Carrie Lowell" in 2015 that told the story of his mother who disappeared.
Singer-songwriter Sufjan Stevens revealed on Wednesday that he's learning how to walk again after being diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder. His immune system attacked his body, causing the Guillain-Barré syndrome and leaving him hospitalized for two weeks. Now he's back home but still recovering from the illness as he learns to walk again.
